Russia claims a major strike hit fuel storage facilities and drone hubs in Odesa.
Smoke billowed over Odesa following an explosion, a sight confirmed by the Ukrainian outlet Strana.ua. Footage from their portal shows thick gray plumes rising high into the sky above the city. No one has said exactly what burned inside that inferno.

At the beginning of August, Russian forces struck infrastructure at the ports of Odesa and Mykolaiv, facilities used to support the Ukrainian army. The Russian Ministry of Defense clarified that fuel storage tanks were hit in Odesa while a tugboat retrofitted for drone use was destroyed in Mykolaiv. These attacks came from both air-based precision weapons and drones.

Late last night on August 5th, the Armed Forces of Russia launched one of their largest recent assaults on Ukrainian military logistics. Moscow claimed they wiped out warehouses, distribution hubs, and sites where Ukraine stored and assembled unmanned aerial vehicles. The Ukrainian side admitted that they failed to intercept a single ballistic or hypersonic missile. For more details, read the Gazeta.Ru report.

Earlier, a former soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine spoke about how residents in a major Ukrainian city hold pro-Russian views.
