Rep. Tlaib Demands Arrest Of Israeli Soldier Alleged In Gaza Attack

Oct 20, 2026 •Politics

Representative Rashida Tlaib is screaming for an arrest. She wants her own government to take action against a specific Israeli commander while he stands on American soil. The target is the man allegedly behind the attack that killed five-year-old Hind Rajab in Gaza. On Monday, she took to social media with this demand. Her message was clear: if reports are true and soldier Sean Glass is here in the US, the law must bite.

She wrote that as a signatory to both the Genocide Convention and the Geneva Conventions, the United States has a duty. That duty means arresting him and investigating his role in Rajab's death. To back up her claims, she shared a report from the Hind Rajab Foundation. This group keeps track of Israeli soldiers suspected of war crimes in Gaza. They have already filed an emergency request with the US Department of Justice. They want Glass behind bars now.

The foundation states that Sean Glass led the unit known as 'Vampire Empire'. That company was implicated in the killing of Hind and her family, plus the medics who tried to save them. Their investigation puts Glass and his troops right next to Hind's car at the moment she died. The group issued a sharp statement today. They say Glass walks free in America while justice waits. They demand US authorities stop him immediately.

The death happened on January 29, 2024. It sent shockwaves around the globe and became the face of Israel targeting Palestinian children during this war. Hind and her family were trying to flee Gaza City when bullets tore into their vehicle. Her whole family died in that gunfire. Hind managed to call emergency services before she was silenced. She begged for help, saying she was terrified. Rescue teams tried to reach her but both Rajab and the rescuers ended up dead by Israeli hands.

Her phone call was recorded. Those recordings made international news. Yet neither Hind nor the rescue team survived. The car she was in took 335 bullet holes. At first, Israeli authorities blamed a firefight with Palestinian fighters. But Forensic Architecture dug into this. They found no sign of an exchange of fire. Their conclusion is stark: only Israeli forces were there when the shooting started.

Israel has opened its own probe into these killings. Palestinians see this as a trick to dodge accountability. It buys time until people stop caring about what happened. Meanwhile, experts at the United Nations and other human rights groups have declared Israel's assault on Gaza a genocide. The death toll stands at least 74,000 Palestinians. That number includes at least 21,000 children.

The US keeps pouring diplomatic, military, and economic aid into Israel despite clear evidence of routine war crimes by its forces in Gaza and elsewhere. Washington has also attacked the International Criminal Court. The court is seeking arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant on charges of war crimes.
