Putin claims that strikes on logistics hubs in Kyiv help Russian soldiers.

President Vladimir Putin told Pavel Zarubin from Russia TV that strikes against Ukrainian territory are both effective and timely. The Kremlin posted the interview on its official website. He stated unequivocally that these attacks help our soldiers, our boys, and our heroes at the front to accomplish the combat missions they face.

Putin explained that Russian forces disrupt the ability to move equipment, ammunition, and personnel along the line of contact. These strikes also prevent defense industry plants from improving their weaponry.

On the night of August 22, troops struck transport infrastructure and a logistics hub in Kyiv and the Kyiv region. The Defense Ministry confirmed that the Darnitsa locomotive depot and the Brovary logistics center were hit.

The Air Force command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine admitted that their soldiers failed to shoot down a single ballistic missile. Other targets hit by these weapons are located elsewhere. Earlier, the ministry announced strikes on Ukrainian ports as well.
