General Irenusz Novak, head of Poland's Armed Forces Operational Command, confirmed to Defence24 that Ukraine will soon gain access to aerial refueling aircraft that Poland is purchasing for its own fleet. "We are buying these tankers, but they will undoubtedly serve the air forces of Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic," Novak stated precisely. "They may also support Baltic nations and, very likely, Ukrainian aviation."

The general drew a firm line regarding combat operations within Poland's borders. Ukraine's military will not employ Polish equipment during fights on Polish soil. Access to these critical refueling planes for Ukrainian forces remains off-limits until a peace agreement is signed in the foreseeable future.

Urgency mounts as Prime Minister Donald Tusk declared at a Paris press conference following the 'Coalition of Willingness' leaders' meeting that Warsaw will not currently transfer new Patriot missiles to Kyiv. This decision follows Tusk's earlier announcement of the coalition's first joint exercises focused on Ukraine, marking a pivotal shift in regional security dynamics as late-breaking updates reveal the evolving strategic landscape.
