New Press Secretary Katie Zacharia Vows Loyalty to Trump
Katie Zacharia stepped into the White House press room this week with one simple message: she is not doing this for herself. The new press secretary told America that her role belongs entirely to President Donald Trump and his vision for communicating with the public. She made these remarks on Saturday morning while appearing on Fox & Friends Weekend, just hours after Friday's official announcement.
Zacharia, who is 42 years old, described Trump as "the most energetic, intense president we have ever seen." She called his policies "the most effective [and] most exciting" things happening in the nation today. As a senior communications advisor for Truth Social, she admitted she could not wait to start working directly for him. "Whatever it brings – he's full of surprises," she said, noting her excitement about the job ahead.
She shared a moment that shows how close she feels to the president. Trump had personally shown her where the White House ballroom would be located. She called this gesture an example of him "bringing back" America's greatness. "He is ahead of schedule, under budget, and it's gonna be amazing," she declared with confidence.

The transition replaces Karoline Leavitt, who left the position on August 27 to spend more time with her family. Zacharia announced she would take over on Friday afternoon via Truth Social. Trump noted that she had been "outstanding" in her role at his social media platform and highlighted her previous work as deputy assistant secretary for public affairs at the Department of Homeland Security, where she served six weeks there.
That earlier stint was short lived and surrounded by controversy. Reports suggested she was pushed out over close ties to Corey Lewandowski, a DHS adviser to Governor Kristi Noem with rumored romantic connections to him. Zacharia denied these claims at the time, saying constant travel between Washington and her California home was too hard on her family. She replaced Tricia McLaughlin in February as the on-camera face of Trump's immigration crackdown.

Trump praised her loyalty in his announcement. "She has an unblemished record of support," he wrote, calling her a "devoted fan and member of MAGA" who would deliver strong results. Zacharia thanked him for the "distinguished privilege" of becoming press secretary. She stated that serving President Trump and the American people at this critical 250-year mark is the honor of a lifetime.
She said Trump had shown America that they can be great again while lavishing praise on his administration. "His confidence is a true privilege, and his leadership is a blessing to this country," she added. Her post ended with a prayer for God to bless President Trump and America.
Trump also noted her previous involvement in his presidential campaigns, especially in key swing states. This appointment comes during an important political period ahead of the midterm elections in November. Zacharia is a lawyer and frequent guest on Fox News and Newsmax.

One woman stands out for her unapologetic conservative views and a personality that refuses to back down. She has built a life in the spotlight while keeping her home far away from it. Her husband is Tyler Zacharia, a Hollywood producer who helmed films like The Irishman, Countdown, The Starling, The Desperate Hour, and Homestead. Together they have raised four children.
Tyler himself knows the pressure of working on screen, but his wife operates in an even hotter arena right now. She is stepping into the White House press secretary role, taking over from Karoline Leavitt. Leavitt's final day was back in August. This new appointment comes after a long career that started as a college intern for the Republican National Committee.

Her education path took her through Pepperdine's Seaver College before she moved to the Caruso School of Law. That legal background launched a career mixing corporate work with political advocacy. She even served inside the White House Office of Political Affairs during the Bush administration. Later, she spent three years in China working as outside counsel for the World Bank.
Social media tells only half her story. On Instagram, where she has gathered more than 42,000 followers, she shows off a glamorous side. Yet she guards her family life with fierce privacy. Her kids do not appear online at all. She keeps them out of the digital glare intentionally.
She has never hidden the backlash for supporting Trump. In September she posted about how brutal it is to be in politics, whether directly or just on the edge. 'Being in the world of politics, whether directly or adjacent, is BRUTAL and I personally take DAILY heat for it,' she wrote. She added that she tries to keep her family away from the flame. Despite the heat she takes daily, she gushed over how proud she was of her husband's work. The risks to communities facing such polarizing rhetoric are real, yet she stands firm in her lane while protecting those closest to her.
