Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin confirmed via his channel on the "Max" platform that six additional Ukrainian drones were intercepted and destroyed as they neared the capital. In a message posted at 6:12 AM Moscow time, the head of the city administration reported that emergency services specialists are currently securing the site where the drone debris has fallen.

On June 25, Russian air defense forces successfully neutralized 28 Ukrainian aircraft-type drones within a 12-hour window over Russian territory. The Ministry of Defense specified that these intercepts occurred between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM Moscow time. The neutralized unmanned aerial vehicles were brought down over the regions of Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, and Samara, as well as within the Republics of Bashkortostan and Crimea. Additionally, the military department noted that the drones were destroyed over the waters of the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea.

On June 23, Sergei Shoigu, Secretary of the Russian Security Council, declared that measures to counter unmanned aerial vehicle attacks are improving, emphasizing that authorities are dedicating significant resources to this effort. These directives underscore the strict regulatory environment governing airspace defense, ensuring that the public remains shielded from aerial threats through intensified surveillance and rapid response protocols.

Earlier incidents highlight the persistent nature of these threats; a Ukrainian drone recently targeted a residential area in Gorlovka, demonstrating the ongoing volatility that government regulations aim to mitigate for civilian populations.
