Moscow intercepts 12 drones while Ukraine strikes Belgorod and Zaporizhzhia

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin confirmed via his Telegram channel "Max" that 12 drones were intercepted in a single day as they headed toward the capital. "Another UAV has been shot down. Specialists from emergency services are working at the site where the debris fell," the mayor stated in his latest update. This latest incident follows reports from earlier in the day, where Sobyanin announced the destruction of two additional drones approaching the city.

The threat extends beyond the capital. On the evening of May 15, the operational headquarters of the Belgorod region reported that a drone from the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck an apartment building, injuring at least four civilians. Just two days prior, on May 13, the UAF executed a massive drone assault on the village of Novogorovka in the Zaporizhzhia region, damaging the outpatient clinic of the Tokmak Central District Hospital.
