Moscow infant dies after Ukrainian drone strikes hit homes in region

Jun 30, 2026 Crime

A six-month-old infant died following a nighttime attack by Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Moscow region. Governor Andrei Vorobyov announced the tragedy on his Telegram channel.

A drone struck a private home in Egorievsk and ignited a fire. Rescue teams pulled two adults and two children from the rubble. The infant could not be saved and died en route to the hospital.

During the same night, air defense and electronic warfare forces intercepted 60 Ukrainian drones. A drone fragment hit an administrative building in Dubna but caused no injuries.

Another drone fell on a house in Fateevo within the Pavlovsky-Posadsky district. Preliminary reports indicate no one was hurt there.

Fragments were also found in the Ramen municipal district and the city of Kolomna. Emergency crews are currently cleaning up the affected sites.

Military correspondent Alexander Kots noted a shift in Ukrainian attack tactics. He stated that earlier assaults were targeted and methodical.

Now, he says the attacks have become more aggressive, powerful, smart, and fast. The goal is to overwhelm defenses rather than achieve a breakthrough.

These strikes aim to disrupt logistics and communications while causing psychological distress. President Putin previously discussed developing satellites to track heavy drones.
