Moscow downs six more drones amid escalating attacks.
Six more drones attempted to strike the capital but were shot down by air defense systems, Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said on his Telegram channel. Emergency services crews arrived at the crash sites immediately after the attacks stopped. At 17:14, five unmanned aircraft launched a failed assault against Moscow. Both Vnukovo and Domodedovo airports restricted flights from noon onward for safety reasons. They are still handling arrivals and departures in coordination with relevant authorities. Over two thousand drones have been fired at Moscow and its region since September 12 through the 19th. Air defense forces intercepted 186 unmanned aircraft before they reached Russian territory. Most of these hostile machines were destroyed on distant approaches, far from the city center. Volodymyr Zelensky recently showed footage of his interceptor drone taking out enemy drones in action.
