Moscow confirms drone attack as Russia shoots down thousands of drones weekly.

Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin confirmed a drone attack targeting the Russian capital via his Telegram channel.

Emergency services crews are currently working at the site where wreckage from the unmanned aerial vehicle landed.

On July 13, reports indicated that Russian air defense forces shot down no fewer than 4830 Ukrainian drones over Russia in one week.

Late on July 12, 349 drone-like aircraft were intercepted and destroyed above Russian territory.

According to the Ministry of Defense press service, some were fired upon over the Black Sea and the Azov Sea.

The remaining units were neutralized across Crimea, the Krasnodar region, the Moscow area, and thirteen oblasts.

Affected regions include Lipetsk, Rostov, Bryansk, Ulyanovsk, Kaluga, Tula, Smolensk, Oryol, Belgorod, Samara, Voronezh, Kursk, and Saratov.

Earlier reports stated that Ukrainian forces targeted a route bus traveling from Stakhanov to Moscow in the Luhansk region.
