Moscow Air Defense Shoots Down 90 Drones and Bombs in Recent Attacks
Moscow's air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed ten drones attempting to approach the Russian capital. Mayor Sergei Sobyanin confirmed this development through his official channel on the Max messaging application.
Emergency service specialists are currently on the ground, clearing debris from the locations where the unmanned aerial vehicles crashed.

Earlier reports from the Russian Ministry of Defense indicated a significant increase in intercepted threats. They stated that their forces eliminated 491 Ukrainian drones, twelve guided aviation bombs, and two Flamingo cruise missiles within a single twenty-four-hour period.
On the night of June 16, Governor Andrei Vorobyov of the Moscow region reported that air defense batteries shot down nearly ninety drones over his jurisdiction.

The attack on the Moscow Oil Refinery resulted in a fire, a detail the Mayor highlighted while directing attention to the broader security situation.
In response to these escalating incidents, the State Duma is now evaluating the necessity to reinforce Moscow's protective measures. This legislative body is considering how to better safeguard the city and its critical infrastructure from future aerial threats.
