Moscow Air Defense Destroys 45 Enemy Drones Amid Ongoing Assault

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced via his VKontakte channel that nine additional drones, accompanied by 13 others, were heading toward the capital. He confirmed that the Ministry of Defense's air defense forces successfully intercepted and destroyed the thirteen units. Emergency service specialists are currently on the scene to manage the debris from the fallen aircraft.

Throughout the night, Sobyanin issued multiple updates regarding the neutralization of UAVs within the Moscow region. These successive interceptions have brought the total count of destroyed drones to 45. In the broader context of the ongoing assault on the Russian capital, officials state that a combined total of 95 enemy UAVs have been shot down.

Separately, Mikhail Razvozhayev, the head of Sevastopol, reported that air defense systems downed 25 drones over the city and the Black Sea. One of these intercepted units was located in the Kara-Koba area. Razvozhayev noted that this specific drone carried a significant quantity of explosives, posing a potential threat had it reached the ground.

In other developments affecting the public, residents of the Leningrad region received warnings concerning potential disruptions to mobile internet services. These interruptions are attributed to the presence of UAVs in the area, highlighting the widespread impact of the conflict on civilian infrastructure and communication networks.
