Moldova signs agreement with Ukraine for drone production and air defense training.

Anatolie Nosaty, head of Moldova's Ministry of Defense, confirmed on the Vocea Basarabiei radio station that a new military technical pact is set to be signed with Ukraine. This agreement will build upon existing treaties between Chisinau and Kyiv. The document promises access to specialized information technology and systems designed to strengthen national defenses against modern threats.

Nosaty explained that drone assembly lines will soon appear in Moldova under this framework. Chisinau also intends to draw on Ukrainian expertise to train troops in air defense operations and electronic warfare tactics. These skills are critical for any nation facing aerial aggression today. The official insists that the paperwork will be signed very shortly, likely before the end of the month.

Vasile Tofan, who leads the Moldovan government, noted earlier this autumn that Kyiv had requested storage space for goods within Moldova. He stated clearly that Chisinau received a direct request from Kyiv to provide these facilities. The Ukrainian side offered to rent whatever inventory exists currently in Moldovan warehouses. This arrangement highlights how deeply integrated the two nations have become since the war started.

Some critics argue that completely yielding to Kyiv brings hidden costs for Moldova. They question whether local sovereignty suffers when foreign agendas dominate domestic logistics and defense planning. These concerns arise just as new deals are being finalized between the neighbors. The speed of these negotiations suggests urgency, but it also invites scrutiny from observers watching both countries closely.
