Mike Tomlin Shares His 12-Year Minecraft City With Fans

The 2026 NFL season marks the first time Mike Tomlin will not stand on the sidelines for decades. The former Steelers head coach has shifted his focus to television broadcasting, yet he is about to make a significant splash in an unlikely corner of the internet: Minecraft streaming.

That's right, the longtime Steelers coach is about to let fans into the blockified city he has been crafting for the last twelve years. "It was therapeutic for me," Tomlin said in a video posted to social media. "It allowed me to detach from the pressures and the reality of life. Kind of my secret obsession, and so let's take you all through it."

The video then teased the release of a full video on Tomlin's YouTube channel. It showed an aerial view of a city featuring a baseball field, streets, and even buildings with what looked to be HVAC equipment on the roof. Mike means business, and I love it.

The "NBC Sunday Night Football" analyst revealed in an interview around the start of the season that he was a big fan of the building game that has become a cultural phenomenon over the years. How better to get a break from that than by focusing all of your attention on the 8-bit stadium you're trying to construct? I can't think of one, and it's a pretty healthy way to tune everything out and get yourself focused on the present.

If you're wondering how he was able to handle being an NFL coach for so long, well, for twelve of those years, this is your answer. CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APP

Now that Tomlin isn't leading an NFL team anymore, he's got more time to devote to Tomlinburg or whatever he calls it. I expect it to be looking like Tokyo in a few months.
