Mexican Teen Dies After Falling From Carnival Ride Harness
An eighteen-year-old Mexican girl was thrown from a carnival ride at top speed, ending her life just weeks after a father in Atlanta suffered the same brutal fate at Six Flags. Gabriela Rodriguez Tezoco died while riding The Pendulum at the Cabo San Lucas Traditional Festivals on Tuesday. She fell out of her seat as the attraction reached full velocity.

A fellow rider captured video of the moment. The footage shows the teen's harness lifting up, allowing her body to slip free and flip through the air before hitting the ground below. People waiting nearby ran toward her after she landed. Tezoco was rushed to a hospital where doctors pronounced her dead.

The ride shut down immediately for safety checks, according to Expreso. Mayor Christian Agundez of Los Cabos stated that other attractions would also be tested. Authorities have opened an investigation to determine who bears liability for this tragedy.

Agundez asked the community to stand with Tezoco's family because 'it could have been any one of us.' She told them at a public appearance, 'You are not alone,' during a moment of shared grief. Tezoco had just graduated from the Baja California Sur College of Baccalaureate Studies. The school released a statement saying, 'May your smile remain alive in our memory and may your memory always be a light that guides us.'

This loss comes barely weeks after Hassan Kariem, 42, died on the Goliath rollercoaster at Six Flags in Georgia earlier this month. He was riding with his son when the accident happened. His wife and daughter watched from nearby as he fell. Witnesses say they saw him fly out of his seat and crash into the ride's metal frame several times before hitting the ground. It remains unclear exactly how Kariem lost his grip on the ride.

The incident occurred right at the moment the coaster's camera snaps souvenir photos, a feature riders can later purchase online. Images went viral quickly, showing him falling over other passengers and flying head-first into the structure. His family has pleaded with people to stop sharing those disturbing images because of their upsetting nature.
