A heartbreaking update has come from Mel Schilling, a beloved psychologist and star of Married At First Sight, who is currently battling an advanced stage of bowel cancer.

This week, in a poignant Instagram post, she shared her devastating news: 'I don't know how long I have left. I will fight to my last breath and will be surrounded by the love and support of my people. My light is starting to fade – and quickly.' Her message serves as a powerful reminder for others about the importance of paying attention to one's health.

Ms Schilling was diagnosed with bowel cancer back in December 2023, following persistent abdominal pain, constipation, and fatigue symptoms which she initially attributed to hormonal changes. Unfortunately, these signs were ignored for some time before she finally sought medical help.

The disease has since advanced significantly, spreading to her lungs and brain – a grim reality that leaves little room for curative treatment options. 'I was just feel speed ahead, doing my job, traveling the world, doing my thing and living my best life,' she explained.
