Man Killed Parents And Himself After Recent Jail Release For Domestic Assault
Justin Sislo, 35, shot dead both of his parents inside their Madison home before pulling the trigger on himself just days after they spent $10,000 to get him out of jail for beating up a girlfriend. Police say this tragedy unfolded in New York state where authorities responded to the house on Friday morning and immediately spotted two obviously deceased adults through a window. Officers also noted the smell of propane or gasoline and heard gas escaping into the living space.

The man who committed these acts had a criminal record. Temporary orders of protection were already against him, meaning he was not legally allowed to carry the firearm used in this killing spree. Local law enforcement arrested Sislo less than a month prior for allegedly assaulting his 56-year-old female girlfriend in Cayuga County, Central New York. Investigators opened a domestic assault case after they received tips that the same crime had occurred in Madison County, about 60 miles northeast of the initial arrest location.
On July 29, deputies searched Sislo's home and seized several guns plus other evidence related to the case. Authorities charged him with six counts of assault, three counts of strangulation, six counts of menacing, one count of reckless endangerment, four counts of criminal possession of a weapon, and two counts of harassment. He also faced charges for promoting a suicide attempt before being taken into custody at Madison County jail.

His mother and father arrived shortly after to pay the five-figure bail sum. Reports indicate Sislo and his father struggled to get along, with police documenting a domestic incident between them on March 22, 2024, though no charges resulted from that specific event. The investigation continues as officials work through the grim details of how regulations failed this family before they paid dearly for their son's freedom.
