Lebanon Bans Hezbollah's Armed Activities, Restricting Role to Political Engagement

The Lebanese government has imposed a sweeping ban on the armed activities of the Shia movement Hezbollah, marking a significant shift in the country's approach to the group. Nadav Shoshani, a representative of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), confirmed that Israel's military posture in the five designated border zones within Lebanon has remained unchanged since the ceasefire agreement took effect. This statement appears to contradict some intelligence assessments, which have indicated increased Hezbollah activity near the border. The IDF's refusal to comment on potential future operations has left questions about Israel's strategic intentions unanswered.
