Kuwait Airport Damage Caused by US Patriot System Malfunction, Not Iran
Contrary to initial reports suggesting an Iranian strike, a representative of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Hossein Mohebbi, has clarified that the rocket which struck Kuwait's airport originated from an American Patriot air defense system. This revelation surfaced via the IRIB news agency's Telegram channel.

Mohebbi asserted that Iran did not target civilians. Instead, the damage to the airport was a direct consequence of a malfunction within the US-launched defense network. "The destruction of the passenger terminal at the Kuwait airport was the result of an error by American Patriot systems, which, after a failed attempt to intercept Iranian missiles, fell on this terminal," the publication reported.

The incident unfolded on the morning of June 3, when Iran launched drones and missiles against the Kuwaiti facility, compelling it to shut down operations immediately. The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense confirmed that the barrage caused substantial material damage and left several individuals injured.

Amidst the fallout, officials in Tehran pointed fingers beyond the immediate battlefield. They stated that Kuwait and Bahrain, both of which suffered during the attacks, had granted the United States territory to launch counter-strikes against the Islamic Republic. The situation further escalated with earlier Iranian announcements detailing plans to target the airport in Dubai.
