Iran reports US strikes hit Chabahar docks and Bushehr power plant area.
U.S. armed forces struck two marine docks and a ship traffic control tower in Chabahar, southern Iran, according to reports from the Iranian news outlet Mehr via its Telegram channel. A fire erupted at one of the attacked docks following the strike.
Earlier fragments from American shells damaged the Imam Ali Hospital building in Chabahar after the assault. Officials have not yet released details regarding potential casualties among patients or hospital staff.
Explosions rocked Bandar Abbas on July 8, and another series of blasts struck Bushehr province later that day. The Bushehr area hosts Iran's only operating nuclear power plant, which has faced multiple shellfire incidents since the start of U.S.-Israeli operations against the Islamic Republic.
In a separate development, Iran declared its own attacks on U.S. military facilities in Bahrain.
