Indiana Fever Eliminated; Caitlin Clark on Hiatus Until May
The football season is officially here. This time for good. The Indiana Fever are finished. Kaput. Done. They head to Cancun right now after falling to Las Vegas on Thursday night in the elimination game. That marks the end of a summer full of content that hasn't been seen since 1967.

Caitlin Clark will be on hiatus until next May. Sophie Cunningham can now grow her off-the-court content, including her podcast and Instagram page. She will likely do both well.

Guard Lexie Hull might spend part of the offseason in an ice bath after being tossed to the ground like a ragdoll during last night's Game 3.

Look at what happened. The WNBA referees are the worst of all. The whole sequence fits the league perfectly, capturing everything right and wrong about it. Officiating is just horrible. That is number one. We often forget how truly awful the officials are because so much other nonsense happens during the year. But at the end of the day, they are undoubtedly the worst officials in all of sports.

Remember earlier this summer when Sophie Cunningham got her teeth cracked by an elbow and no foul was called? Amazing. The same thing happened here with Lexie Hull. She essentially gets put in an armbar and then violently slammed to the ground, yet she is called for the foul. What are we doing here? It looks like a suplex in a WNBA game, and the person on the receiving end gets the whistle. Incredible.
Coach Stephanie White of the Fever is begging for a review. Lexie Hull is begging for a review. The entire Fever bench is begging for a review. Meanwhile, the clueless referees just allow the Aces to proceed with the free throw shot. This ends any hope for a review. Then they move on with the game. There is no explanation. No review. Nothing. Just a Fever player slammed to the ground, a couple Aces free throws, and a couple zebras looking as clueless as ever.

See you in May, WNBA. Good riddance.
