ICE Officers Detain Young Father in Tire Shop Sting
A young father detained by immigration agents claims he has lived in America since childhood and carries no criminal record. Christopher Ruiz de Jesus, 26, was working his shift at TOS Wheels and Tires in Lynwood, Washington when ICE officers moved in on Saturday. Surveillance video shared online by his fiancée, Jade Gaspar, captures a plainclothes officer entering the shop while pretending to be a customer. The agent approached the counter and told Ruiz de Jesus he needed help with a car trouble outside. Ruiz de Jesus followed him out into the parking lot where masked agents in tactical gear surrounded them. One officer who initiated the sting put his mask back on just as custody began. The Department of Homeland Security confirmed the arrest via Daily Mail, stating Ruiz de Jesus entered Mexico illegally at an unknown date and location. He remains held pending removal proceedings according to a DHS spokesperson. Gaspar alleges her twelve-year partner was blindsided by these authorities while simply doing his job. She told FOX 13 that you can see innocence in him as he worked there for six years as manager of the store. The DHS denied accusations regarding hidden credentials, calling such claims false. Officials say being in detention is a choice and encourage illegal aliens to use the CBP Home App for departure. They offer $3,000 and a free flight to those who self-deport right now. Every person here illegally should take this chance to live the American dream legally or face arrest without return. Ruiz de Jesus has lived in America since age five according to Gaspar. He is the main provider for her and their son who turns two in December. The family says his detainment hurts their little boy deeply. Gaspar revealed through a GoFundMe campaign that their lease ends this month leaving them homeless soon. We are suffering traumatic change right now she wrote as they look for new housing.

He was the main income source and head of the house." The mother is now seeking a lawyer to help bring Ruiz de Jesus back home. She said the ordeal has been terrible for their son, who cannot grasp when his dad will return. "He's like walking around saying, 'Dad, dad!,'" Gaspar told FOX 13. "That's so hard.
