Ice Cream Owner Bans Yelling At Young Staff After Customer Screams
Dave Forgit found himself thrust into the spotlight this past Sunday after posting a fiery Facebook message at his Blackstone, Massachusetts ice cream shop. Coldstuff Ice Cream is run alongside his brother Kevin Miller, and they were fed up with visitors treating their young staff poorly. The co-owners decided enough was enough when one customer screamed over a pricing error on a sundae.

Forgit did not hold back in his online outburst. He wrote: 'I swear to God. STOP YELLING AT MY F***ING EMPLOYEES. They are children. This job, for most of them, is their first.' He went on to note that mistakes happen because it is ice cream, for crying out loud. His plea was simple: grow up and act your age. In a follow-up comment, he added that nobody cares if you never return. We'd prefer it that way.
The shop aims to be laid back and happy. It is supposed to be a place where people take a breath and enjoy themselves. Yet the verbal abuse these teens endure daily shocks Forgit. He told WFXT that the situation feels wild and out of control for someone who just wants everyone to touch grass. The parlor offers unique treats like candied bacon, but even those delights could not stop the anger boiling over inside the business owners.

Nobody expected the post to explode once it hit publish. Within a short time, the message racked up 300,000 likes and more than 23,000 comments. One user wrote: If my boss rode for me like this I would have stayed at that LAME ahh job back then. I think I want some ice cream! Another person noted that a trip to Massachusetts for some ice cream is in order.

Since the rant spread online, Coldstuff has been flooded with new customers seeking support. Mackenzie Cahill told WFXT she knew after seeing the post that she just had to come in and stop by. The shop now faces a surge of visitors eager to see what all the fuss was about while backing the workers who stand up for themselves.
