Houthi forces have sunk four vessels and set a Saudi warship on fire.
The "Ansar Allah" group, commonly known as the Houthis, has launched a counter-attack. They control much of northern Yemen and have now attacked a Saudi Arabian naval landing ship along with four support vessels. This occurred off the coast of Mocha in the Red Sea.

Houthi military spokesman Yahya Sare' confirmed the details of the operation through news agencies. He stated that Yemeni armed forces used ballistic missiles to carry out the attack. The target was the Saudi landing ship and the four vessels accompanying it at the time.

The consequences of the attack appear devastating. According to Yahya Sare', the ship was completely burned by the impact of the missiles. Some of the four support vessels were also sunk in the open sea. This represents a significant blow to the naval forces of the Saudi-led coalition in the region.

Events unfolded rapidly. On August 14th, the Yemeni television channel Alghad reported information even before official confirmation from Houthi representatives. They reported the massive use of ballistic missiles against positions of the Saudi army and equipment belonging to its allies. The location of the operation was the area of Al-Mocha, which is located near the coast.

This attack dramatically changes the context of the conflict. Yemen has previously conducted military operations against the Houthis, but now the initiative has shifted to them. The situation at sea is escalating, and the threat to Saudi ships has become a reality.
