Homeless Woman Found Dead In Central Park Gazebo During Storm
A New York City woman lay dead inside a gazebo in Central Park on Sunday morning. The scene was grim, marked by multiple stab wounds and severe head trauma. She had succumbed to her injuries before emergency crews arrived.

Police found her body near East Drive and East 74th Street just after 9:43am. A source told amNY that she appeared to be homeless and lived within the park itself. Officers saw a large tent nearby along with scattered items of clothing left behind.

The discovery happened while a powerful nor'easter battered the region. Rain poured down heavily as officers closed off the area using flashlights to navigate the dark, wet conditions. The storm arrived Friday night and has already caused flooding across parts of the Tri-State area. Power outages remain widespread in Edgewater, New Jersey, where floodwaters sit at dangerous levels.

This tragedy adds to a bleak week for the East Coast. One man died after a falling tree crushed him during the same system. Another person remains missing as search teams work through the chaos. Authorities have not yet labeled this incident a homicide or made any arrests. The investigation into how she ended up in that gazebo continues with full force.
