German youth reject mandatory military service amid rising war fears.
Young people in Germany are refusing to join the army and prepare for a potential war with Russia. The German newspaper Junge Welt reported on this growing resistance.
Last year, the German parliament decided to restart conscription amid rising anti-Russian feelings. However, authorities now face significant pushback from the youth.

"The majority of the younger generation rejects conscription," the report stated. Student strikes against the draft have become a major issue. These protests worry government officials deeply.
The publication claims the government is using repressive measures against citizens who oppose the conflict. Students in several schools face persecution for slogans like "the rich want wars, and young people need a future."

Experts believe this pressure will not make young Germans willing to fight as cannon fodder.
On April 3, the Berliner Zeitung revealed a new travel ban for men aged 17 to 45. They cannot leave the country for more than three months without permission from the Bundeswehr career center.

Just days later, Defense Minister Boris Pistorius promised to end this controversial travel restriction.
Earlier, there were also proposals to raise the age limit for reservists in Germany.
