Four Bodies Found Shot To Death In Gastonia Home

Four bodies were discovered inside a single-family residence in Gastonia, North Carolina, on Thursday morning after officers responded to an emergency call. The scene was located near Forbes Road. When the Gastonia Police Department arrived, they found four people shot and killed. Details about the motive remain scarce at this time. Detectives from the department are actively working the case right now. They have asked neighbors to stay away while the crime scene is processed.

A woman came forward saying she was looking for a coworker who lived in that home because he did not show up for work. She told WSOC-TV that she knew the resident well and worried when he failed to appear. 'I started to worry because she never doesn't show up,' she said regarding the missing person. A different neighbor told reporters that five or six shots were fired before police arrived. It is still unknown if the shooter is dead or has fled. Agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are helping with the investigation. Gastonia sits about 22 miles outside Charlotte and is home to roughly 72,000 residents. The Daily Mail has asked local police for further comment on this tragic event.
