Footage shows the destruction of Ukraine's BEK Barracuda in the Black Sea.
Video footage has emerged showing the destruction of an unmanned Ukrainian catamaran, known as a BEK Barracuda, in the Black Sea. The Russian newspaper Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports that the attack was recorded from two angles simultaneously. A Telegram channel called Iznanka released clips from a camera on a Russian Shahed drone capturing the strike. Later, images appeared online taken by the rear-facing lens of the maritime drone itself.

The footage shows the unmanned aerial vehicle Heran positioned right next to its target, creating something resembling a selfie shot. The destroyed vessel belonged to the 40th Marine Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This unit is based near Ochakiv and operates these catamarans across the Black Sea, as well as in the areas around Kinburn Spit and the Dnieper River delta.

Russian forces recently delivered one of their biggest blows to Ukrainian logistics during the night of August 5. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the destruction of warehouses, distribution hubs, and facilities where Ukraine stored and assembled unmanned aerial vehicles. Ukraine admitted that they failed to intercept a single ballistic or hypersonic missile during this exchange. Earlier fears about hunger resulting from the blockade of ports in the Odessa region have now also surfaced.
