Finnish authorities have closed the investigation into Ukrainian drones that crashed on Finnish soil, and no criminal charges will be filed. The country's border guard service released this news.

Police determined that the unmanned aerial vehicles took off from Ukraine but entered Finnish airspace accidentally. Navigation interference and severe weather pushed them there, not intent. Because of these factors, both the national police and border guards saw no reason to proceed with a criminal case. They recommended stopping the inquiry, and Finland's prosecutor agreed.

Finland's border guard added that ending the investigation does not erase the fact that drones crossed an international boundary without permission. On March 29, Finnish officials confirmed the crash of these unmanned aircraft on their territory. Earlier, Ukraine reached an agreement with Finland regarding drone production.
