Father Launches Profanity-Laced Tirade at Family Over Christian Pamphlets

Nov 2, 2026 •US News

A Halloween tradition turned into a shouting match in Bellevue, Washington, after a family handed out candy and Christian pamphlets to trick-or-treaters. The recipient was a young boy, but the reaction came from his father. A middle-aged man was captured on video delivering a profanity-laced tirade while his son sat in their car nearby. The clip, obtained by the Choeshow, shows the father screaming outside a Tesla parked in front of the home that distributed the items.

The trigger for the outburst was a small flyer tucked into the treat bag. It read, "Jesus loves you so much," and "Truth & a treat," alongside a QR code linking to a free Bible study. The inside of the pamphlet contained basic Christian teachings, including subheadings like "God loves you," "We disobeyed God," "Jesus made a way," "Jesus is Lord," and "Salvation is a free gift." It also featured a prayer and encouragement to follow Jesus.

The father’s anger was intense enough that he drove back to the house after finding the pamphlets at home. He wanted to confront the family directly. Standing outside his vehicle, he yelled, "Don't try to convert kids on a f***ing holiday!" He flipped off the man holding the camera, shouting, "Yeah, get it real good!"

The rant grew more theatrical. The father spread his arms wide, mimicking Jesus on the cross. "Good job! Go worship your Christ, he died for your sins," he said. He then added, "I can't believe somebody with all this s*** could believe in something as stupid as that." It remains unclear what specific wealth or status he was referencing in that comment.

Throughout the scene, the boy sat quietly in the Tesla. At one point, he climbed into the backseat while his dad continued yelling. The father claimed, "My kid's smart enough to not fall for that s***." The man filming pushed back slightly, saying, "They are smarter than you." The father dismissed this, replying, "I don't think so."

He expanded his grievance to include neighbors of different faiths. "They don't need to hear about your f***ing fantasy God," he shouted. The man recording responded, "They don't talk like you." The father closed the exchange with, "Go f*** yourself. Have a great Halloween and go f*** yourself."

Social media users quickly weighed in on the incident. Many viewed the reaction as disproportionate, particularly given the presence of the child. One user on X noted, "As someone who's not religious, don't see the problem lol with given a 'Jesus Loves You' message inside a gift (goodie bag) with candy. You came to his house."

Others focused on the impact on the boy. "Poor kid. Imagine having this lunatic for a father," one commenter wrote. A third user took a spiritual approach, suggesting, "Let’s put this man and his salvation in our daily prayers. Let’s pray that his son is saved and leads him to the Lord.
