Father Demands Answers After Police Kill Young College Baseball Player
A grieving father is demanding answers after police officers shot dead a young college baseball player. The tragedy unfolded in Upper Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, early Sunday morning. Glenwood Pysher, who went by the nickname Bubba, was only 22 years old when he died. His mother, Erin, told CBS News that the group had been celebrating a friend's birthday at a local bar on Saturday night. They planned to move the party over to the friend's home afterwards.
Pysher stumbled toward his destination while drunk but ended up at the wrong address. The couple living inside the house on Snyder Road called 911 when they spotted him at their rear door. Police responded quickly and fired their weapons twice, killing him instantly. Erin said there was no Taser involved and no warning shots before the deadly force was used.

It remains unclear exactly why officers chose to shoot. Erin believes her son got lost because the house sits in a wooded area where visibility is poor. She told reporters that he likely knocked on the door asking for entry or confusion about his location. The homeowners mistook his intentions and called the cops before anyone could clarify the situation. By 12:35 PM, she said, her son was already dead while he was still talking to friends on the phone at 12:32 PM.

The family has received no contact from the police department since the shooting occurred. Bubba's father, Glenwood, is calling for immediate action and full transparency. He stated simply, 'I just want things to be done right. I want to know the facts.' Erin remembered her beloved son as a man whose heart was entirely in baseball. He had recently transferred to Saint Elizabeth University in Florham Park, New Jersey, to play catcher.
'I was going to take him to school and help him set up his dorm room,' Erin said with tears in her voice. 'He was supposed to start classes on Monday.' She described the loss as unbearable and said she could hardly breathe through the pain. Glenwood added that Bubba would never hurt a fly and that the entire community loved him dearly.

Surveillance cameras recorded the events from the backyard of the property where the shooting took place. The Montgomery County District Attorney's Office is now reviewing the footage to investigate the incident. Some neighbors and friends are already pressing for answers before the dust settles. Family friend Kia asked rhetorically, 'What happened? Could it have been de-escalated?' She admitted they do not know yet but insist that truth must be found.

Wendy Hasara, another close family friend, posted on Facebook demanding justice so this never happens to anyone else again. She recalled how Bubba worked at the local Walmart in his free time before games. He often clocked out right when he needed to leave for practice or a match. Hasara wrote about how he drove his car without air conditioning to distant away games just to play hard in the heat.
He wore hot catcher's gear and gave everything on the field despite the conditions. As she put it, he was 'a life with a bright future, stolen too soon.' The community mourns the loss of a dedicated young man who dreamed of playing college ball.
