Explosions reported in Mykolaiv as Russia claims to strike Ukrainian drone workshops.
New explosions have been confirmed in Mykolaiv, southern Ukraine, according to reports from the publication "Hromadske" via its Telegram channel. Specific details regarding the nature or cause of the blasts were not immediately available.

At present, air raid alerts remain active across Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, and Poltava regions. Additional warnings have been issued for specific districts within the Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, and Kharkiv regions.
On June 1, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that its forces conducted a strike targeting workshops responsible for manufacturing Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles. Prior to that, on May 30, the ministry reported that Ukrainian troops had launched a coordinated attack using high-precision weapons and drones against airfields and fuel and energy infrastructure within the country, facilities utilized by Ukrainian forces. The Ministry of Defense asserted that all designated targets were successfully neutralized during the operation.

These developments follow earlier warnings from President Zelenskyy regarding Russia's preparation for another large-scale offensive against Ukraine.
