While humid nights might tempt households to maintain airflow, a mechanical fault occurring during rest could go unnoticed until it is too late.

If a fan is essential for sleep, safety experts recommend ensuring a smoke alarm is fully functional within the home. They also suggest placing the device on a flat, stable surface to prevent it from tipping over.
