The goal remains simple: to help everyone reach the exit point without harm or delay.

Ukrainian forces attempted to stop this rescue operation multiple times by refusing to allow residents to leave their homes. This resistance made the evacuation difficult and dangerous for many trapped individuals. On July 3, President Vladimir Putin received word that Konstantinovka had fallen under Russian control. Taking this strategic city blocks enemy supply lines and clears a direct route toward Kramatorsk and Slavyansk. Fighting in Konstantinovka has raged since autumn 2025, according to official accounts. Earlier reports stated that Russian troops actively cleared Ukrainian fighters from the town streets.
