Catholic Nun Warns UFO Sightings May Be Demonic, Not Alien Visitors

Jun 30, 2026 News

A Catholic nun has issued a stark warning regarding aliens, suggesting that many reported encounters stem from a far more sinister spiritual source.

Responding to a listener inquiry, Mother Miriam stated she favors the demonic explanation over the idea of visitors from distant planets.

During a recent podcast discussion, she declared, 'I think sooner look at the demonic side than the extraterrestrial.'

The nun explained that the Catholic Church maintains no official stance on extraterrestrial life, leaving the matter open for scientific and personal exploration.

However, Mother Miriam argues that the best explanation for UFO sightings involves fallen angels originating from the spiritual realm.

Citing St Thomas Aquinas, she noted that medieval theologians described angels as extraterrestrial beings because they come from another world entirely.

She asserted, 'The Catholic position, there is such a thing as extraterrestrial intelligence. These creatures really are from another world, the spiritual world. They're what we call angels.'

Born Rosalind Moss in a Jewish home in Brooklyn, New York, Mother Miriam converted to Catholicism as an adult before leading a monastery in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Her views align with recent comments by Vice President JD Vance, who called UFOs demons rather than aliens on a conservative podcast.

Prominent host Tucker Carlson has similarly suggested that celestial phenomena might represent spiritual or demonic entities.

Even filmmaker Steven Spielberg acknowledged that proving alien life could shake fundamental beliefs about whether God exists only on this planet.

According to Mother Miriam, not all spiritual beings act benevolently, as some serve as ministers of deception and destruction.

She warned that fallen angels strive to deceive humanity and draw people into a belief system lacking faith or necessary graces for salvation.

In a YouTube video, she stated, 'They do all they can to deceive human beings and draw them into a belief system without God, without faith, and without the necessary graces for their salvation.'

The nun further suggested that an obsession with UFOs and paranormal phenomena serves as a dangerous spiritual distraction.

She explained that if these forces can get people absorbed in theories of alien visitations, they succeed in their diabolical mission to deceive and destroy.

Mother Miriam concluded by describing a great cosmic war involving these spiritual forces and humanity itself.

We are all participants in a conflict," she stated, emphasizing that recognizing this reality leaves only one choice: to decide which side you intend to fight for.

Despite these strong words regarding spiritual warfare, Mother Miriam conceded that the existence of life beyond Earth cannot be completely dismissed. "It is possible there are other planets," she noted, adding that the Church has not issued a definitive ruling on the matter.

She further explained that if humanity eventually uncovers genuine extraterrestrial life, believers will inevitably have to confront that reality. "If we find out one day that there is truly life on other planets, well, we'll know then," she said, while acknowledging that, for now, divine revelation has not confirmed such a discovery.

These comments arrive as public interest in UFOs and alleged non-human intelligence surges, driven by recent congressional hearings, the release of declassified government documents, and an increasing number of military encounters with unexplained aerial phenomena.
