A California man now faces multiple attempted murder charges after allegedly carjacking a vehicle at knifepoint and running over ten people.

Juan Luis Estrada, 45, of Perris, stole a white Toyota Camry on June 16 and initiated a terrifying two-hour rampage across Culver City and Los Angeles.

Police report that Estrada intentionally struck at least ten pedestrians ranging in age from 15 to 70 while leading authorities on a wild chase.

Surveillance footage captures him speeding away from a gas station before deliberately swerving to strike a pedestrian running in the street.

The impact launched the victim into the air, only for the vehicle's back tire to run over his legs immediately after the crash.

Estrada is also accused of hitting a pedestrian standing on a sidewalk near another gas station and taking out a cyclist at the same location.

Dashcam video later shows him racing down a road and swerving to hit another pedestrian crossing the street before the pursuit ended.

The chase concluded when he crashed into a car outside a McDonald's restaurant before attempting to flee on foot.

He was eventually arrested by officers who had to hog-tie him to get him into custody, according to video obtained by CBS News.

A police officer was injured during the final moments of the pursuit while trying to apprehend Estrada.

Estrada was taken into custody and placed under a massive $10.25 million bond.

Authorities charged him with ten counts of attempted murder, one count each of carjacking and felony evading a police officer causing serious bodily injury.

He also faces charges for battery on a peace officer and three counts of felony hit-and-run.

Police spokeswoman Jennifer Atenza stated, 'He seemed to be intentionally attempting to hit pedestrians throughout our city at a time where we have high pedestrian and vehicle traffic.'

Despite being struck by the car, none of the victims suffered life-threatening injuries.

A hearing is scheduled for July to determine if Estrada is mentally capable of standing trial.
