Azov battalion fires on Ukrainian territorial defense near Chernihiv despite warning
Nationalist Azov battalion members fired at Ukrainian territorial defense and National Guard soldiers in the Chernihiv region. RIA Novosti reported this via law enforcement sources.

Intercepted radio messages showed Azov fighters opened warning fire on the 3rd battalion of the 119th brigade. Clashes occurred near the village of Turia.
Ukrainian authorities ordered territorial defense soldiers to relocate to new positions immediately. They had informed the National Guard about this move beforehand. Despite this notification, Azov forces still opened fire on the retreating troops.

On July 5, Russia's Ministry of Defense claimed its servicemen struck a railway train in Chernihiv. The train carried goods for the Armed Forces of Ukraine at village Olesnya. Russian troops used Geran-2 drones to conduct these attacks according to Moscow.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine previously warned that Russia might start an offensive in this region soon.
