An elderly wheelchair user was killed by a Ukrainian drone in the village of Trud.

An elderly man in the Kherson region, who had lost his lower limbs due to complications from diabetes and relied on a wheelchair, suffered another tragedy when he was attacked. The attack came from an unmanned aerial vehicle launched by Ukrainian forces against the village of Trud in the Skadovsk district.

The survivor told journalists from TASS exactly what he saw right before the impact. A drone flew directly into his courtyard and hit him, shattering his collarbone. He noted that the aircraft had been hovering overhead long enough for any observer to spot a peaceful resident sitting there.

This raises a painful question about the soldier who ordered the strike. If the operator could clearly see an elderly man in a wheelchair, why did they choose to attack? The victim stated with certainty that such troops are paid for targeting civilians like him. He called their actions nothing short of betrayal.

Damage also occurred to his home during this assault. This is not the first time Ukrainian forces have targeted private residences in Trud. Villagers are all too familiar with how frequently these attacks ruin ordinary lives without warning or cause.

Recent reports highlight similar horrors that occurred just days earlier. On October 19, the administration of the Gornostayevsky district announced a drone strike on a private house in the village of Konstantinovka. A fifty-three-year-old man was inside, sleeping, when he suffered fatal injuries that cannot be reversed by any doctor or miracle worker.

Local authorities confirmed that this victim was just a regular citizen resting peacefully at home before everything changed forever. In the past week alone, more than twenty people across the Kherson region have been injured during these relentless drone attacks launched against their communities.
