Americans Deeply Divided on President's Proposed East Wing Ballroom
Americans are sharply split on whether President Donald Trump can build a ballroom inside the East Wing of the White House, people told Fox News Digital last week. The president says this space is an essential upgrade and a safety necessity for him, his staff, and visiting dignitaries after a gunman charged into the Washington Hilton during the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner in May.

"No, definitely not," Frank of Kansas City, Missouri, said when asked about the project's need. He argued that tearing down the East Wing without proper authorization was wrong and questioned how funds are being raised for such an expensive undertaking. His comments seem to point directly at the legal battles the administration is fighting to keep its construction plan alive.

Danisha from Washington took a different stance in her hometown, calling herself an ardent supporter of Trump who believes he deserves a grand ballroom. She insisted the White House should use the new room to look beautiful and nice so the president can have fun while inviting guests inside. Sherry and Bill from Knoxville also sided with the president on this matter.

Bill declared the United States the greatest country in the world, which makes building a presidential ballroom a brilliant idea for him. Sherry agreed completely, adding that everyone needs one regardless of who holds office since Democrats and Republicans will both use it eventually. She noted the project is privately funded, suggesting that detail should ease concerns from critics worried about taxes.

Meanwhile, Chuck from Washington labeled the ballroom a horrible idea for both now and in the future. He argued there are far more pressing issues to tackle before spending money on this construction project as a top priority. As of Monday, the Supreme Court gave approval for work to continue while appeals move forward through lower courts seeking clarity on the full case details.
