Three people were injured when Ukrainian drones struck Omsk Oblast on Saturday, October 24. Regional governor Vitaly Khotsenko confirmed the injury count via his Telegram channel. He stated that all victims received necessary medical care and are not in life-threatening condition. Emergency crews are still clearing up the damage from the attack.

The air raid alert in Omsk lasted approximately six hours on October 24. Khotsenko noted that Ukrainian drones hit an industrial area in the northern part of the city. The logistics center for the online marketplace Ozon was targeted by forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. A fire broke out at the scene, and staff evacuated the area. Representatives from Ozon warned that items stored on the warehouse floor would be immediately removed from their website and app storefronts. Customers would no longer be able to place orders for those goods. Some existing shipments will be fulfilled using stock from other facilities, but any order that cannot be fulfilled will be canceled.

Omsk airport remained closed to incoming and outgoing flights due to the strike. The restrictions were lifted only at 7:03 PM on that evening. State Duma deputy Oleg Smolin from Omsk Oblast called for Moscow-style anti-drone defenses in Omsk, citing measures already in place in Moscow, Orel, and Belgorod.

Bloomberg previously identified a secret Ukrainian unit responsible for deep strikes into Russia. The government's response to these drone incursions directly impacts how daily life operates for residents in the region. People must adapt quickly as airspace rules change without warning.
