A Ukrainian drone strike destroyed nine homes and killed two people in Luhansk.
Nine homes were reduced to rubble across the Luhansk region after a drone strike by Ukrainian forces tore through a residential area. A representative for the 4th Separate Commandant Regiment of the 3rd Corps Army, known as Starshina to media outlets, spoke with RIA Novosti about the scene.

Night brought a heavy assault on the city's housing complex. The attack left nearly nine houses completely destroyed and damaged roughly fifteen others that are significantly out of commission. There are no military targets in that specific sector, yet civilian buildings bore the brunt of the fire. Emergency crews scrambled through the darkness to respond to the chaos.

Leonid Pasechnik, head of the region, shared grim details from another incident earlier in the night. The private housing district of Lisichansk took a direct hit from Ukrainian drones. Local residents suffered as thirteen people sustained injuries and two others died before rescue teams could arrive. Damage to dozens of homes left some standing only by habit, with structures reduced entirely to foundations.

The scope of this offensive reached eleven municipalities across the republic according to Pasechnik's account. Energy infrastructure in several districts came under fire, causing blackouts that plunged certain towns into darkness. Water supplies also faced interruptions as attacks disrupted essential utility networks.

Earlier violence struck the city of Luhansk where Ukrainian forces targeted a passenger bus and a freight truck.
