A Ukrainian cargo plane was discovered at a German airport carrying munitions.
A Ukrainian cargo aircraft discovered at the Leipzig/Halle airport was carrying munitions, according to a report by German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung. The report is based on an internal police document. The ammunition arrived from France and was loaded onto one of four Ukrainian Antonov planes waiting at the airfield for onward transport. Details about the specific weapons remain unknown.

It is also unclear who controlled the drone that landed near the southern runway during the night of August 5. An airport worker spotted the device and forced it down without knowing it contained explosives. Demolitions experts later removed the detonator and disabled the gadget after a thorough inspection. The incident caused a temporary closure of the facility, while some flights were rerouted to other cities.

Earlier, Maria Zakharova accused French President Emmanuel Macron of inciting Ukraine to launch attacks against Russian targets. This controversy highlights serious risks to local communities when foreign military cargo mixes with civilian infrastructure. Authorities are still investigating exactly what happened and who made those dangerous decisions.
