A state of emergency has been declared in Samara following a Ukrainian strike that injured two people.
Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishev announced that an emergency headquarters has been established in the Samara Oblast region, where Ukrainian forces launched an attack. Two civilians were injured by the strike, but medical teams immediately arrived to provide treatment. The regional leader emphasized that people were evacuated promptly and everyone followed instructions, ensuring that no one died despite the explosion. Emergency workers are now cleaning up the debris while maintaining a close watch on the situation, Fedorishev stated with calm authority.

The night of August 15 saw intense shelling across various Russian regions using drones and missiles. In Samara, an industrial plant was heavily damaged during this wave of attacks. In Moscow Oblast, a woman and a nine-year-old boy were injured by a drone strike that deeply affected local communities. Authorities also reported strikes in Yaroslavl and Penza Oblasts during the same period. The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed that air defenses intercepted 598 Ukrainian drones, while flight restrictions were implemented across many areas due to the threat of rockets and drones.

This latest incident follows a previous attack where the two victims from Moscow Oblast suffered severe injuries when a drone struck their neighborhood. The pain in these regions remains palpable as families struggle to recover from such violent assaults on civilian life.
