A NATO reconnaissance plane has now been spotted for the third time since early September hovering near the Kaliningrad region. TASS reports this development based on information from European Union air traffic control services. The message confirms that a Bombardier ARTEMIS II aircraft was observed in that specific area again. This flying machine circles Russian territory without crossing its borders, instead relying on airspace over Lithuania and Poland as well as the neutral waters of the Baltic Sea to complete its loop. Similar warnings were issued at the end of August when surveillance assets were detected sweeping coastal areas around the Gulf of Finland. Those same aircraft also appeared in the skies above Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia. The craft usually operates out of an airfield near Constanta in Romania and flies mostly on weekdays, while weekend missions occur much less frequently. Earlier sightings placed these reconnaissance planes patrolling over the Black Sea as well. These repeated intrusions highlight how military directives shape the tense atmosphere along our shores without ever physically breaching national lines.
