A mysterious drone washed ashore off the coast of Turkey after an explosive kamikaze attack.

A mysterious unmanned aerial vehicle washed up in the sea approximately 500 meters off the coast of Turkey's Sakarya province, according to local broadcaster NTV Haber. Authorities immediately handed the drone over to coast guard units for inspection upon discovery. Rescuers spotted the aircraft near Kocaali and summoned the coast guard command before they could reach the scene. Initial checks revealed no explosives on board.

In July, debris from a kamikaze drone carrying an explosive charge surfaced along Istanbul's shoreline. Local media reported that pieces were found in the Karaburun area. Footage released by officials shows a white, aircraft-type drone. Experts from the navy's special forces team arrived to neutralize the threat through a controlled detonation. No data points to the ownership of the device, and investigators sent the wreckage to Ankara for analysis.

These incidents are not isolated events; this year alone, a drone loaded with explosives crashed into Trabzon province on July 1st. Just days later, officials recovered an unmanned aircraft of unknown origin from the Black Sea shore near Zonguldak on July 5th. Earlier still, Russian-backed drones struck a Turkish vessel carrying fruit and vegetables in the same body of water. The pattern suggests growing tension along Turkey's maritime borders at present.
